About the Role and Responsibilities

About the Role:
Protection Effectiveness is the #1 priority for McAfee in its aim to protect its customers from the many attacks and intrusions that occur continually around the world. As a Technical Product Manager in the McAfee Labs External Reviews Team you will be focused on managing predominantly US Based external testing organisations that measure McAfee’s product efficacy and publish those results in the public domain. This role is highly critical to the success of McAfee and will involve working across a wide range of functions and teams from Engineering through to Sales and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage US Based external testing organisations, providing a single point of contact and acting as the conduit between the external testers and internal McAfee Teams coordinating meetings, technical work and generally ensuring that the testers are facilitated and that the relevant teams throughout McAfee are aware of upcoming tests.
· Analyse results of testing detailing McAfee vs Competitor results.
· Work with PM and PGMs to create roadmaps and fixes.
· Understand the testing methodologies, and provide steer both internally and externally.
· Provide testing results, write ups and awards to Sales & Marketing.
· Identify areas of weakness within McAfee’s own internal testing structures in order to ensure that McAfee’s products are thoroughly tested internally and that they are suitable for external testing.
· Work with Product & Labs teams to ensure that products go through effective internal and external testing validation prior to launch.
· Work with Engineering & Marketing Teams in order to provide data that can be used in Go-To-Market materials for new products.
Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills & Education:

Proven account and people management skills.

Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to and working with a wide variety of corporate executives, sales, marketing, engineering, operations, external testers and customers.

Business focus with a technical background along with well-developed analytical skills.

Strong knowledge and experience of NSBU products and technologies (ie: FW, NIPS etc) preferred. Additionally, some knowledge of Endpoint BU products and technologies (ie: VSE, HIPS etc) would be beneficial.

Knowledge of how to create comprehensive requirements documents based on test results and competitive analysis essential.

Some national and international travel will be expected.
