About the Role and Responsibilities
Location: Plano, TX
About the Role:
This internship will be a highly interactive experience. You will spend time working with the Enterprise Architecture team, which is part of the Information Technology Department. The EA organizations mission is to enable business agility and accelerate business growth by delivering innovative, flexible services that enable creativity and transform the way McAfee does business. Enterprise Architecture strives to create the vision of that future state, build the infrastructure to get there, and help ensure all of McAfee is on that path. The leading services include Enterprise Portal Platform, Business Intelligence, Integration & Application Architecture and Technology Architecture. After introduction to these four service areas you will be working with the Integration & Application team and their client groups to provide guidance and support, as well as contribute to the fulfillment of current projects and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- A focus on streamlining and optimizing current business processes
- Implement Oracle Fusion Middleware Enterprise Platform
- Define the as-is state of current process on the existing platform, determine the impact it is having (or not having) on the IT and business organizations, challenges, etc
- Determine and document the business requirements to migrate the process onto OFME
- Conduct a gap-analysis that describes and quantifies the shortcomings of the as-is state as opposed to the requirements
- Help drive the business to refine their requirements, build project plans, track status and assist with deployment onto enterprise middleware platform
- Produce data-driven business reports, presentations, graphs
- Outline process flows and provide statistical analysis of data
Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
- Candidate should be currently enrolled in school to be considered for McAfee’s intern program
- Pursuing Bachelor Degree, majoring in Business or Computer Science, or related degree
- Ability to determine requirements and write process documentation
- Basic to Intermediate skills in both MS Office (including MS Project) and SQL queries
- Excellent Communication Skills (listening, verbal, and written)
- Highly motivated, results driven self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision
- Flexible team player, with a willingness to learn, who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
- Results driven individual with a willingness to learn
- Interest in at least two of the following: IT administration, business analysis, project management, business process improvements, IT Service Management (ITIL)
