About the Role:
The Director is responsible for information technology technical leadership and support of the various Infrastructure platforms including: System Services, Enterprise Information Services (EIS), Storage and Data protection: System services includes Private Cloud, Server (Dell and Cisco UCS), OS (Windows and Linux), and hypervisor (ESX) build and run responsibilities. EIS includes messaging (Exchange) and domain services (AD, DNS) build and run responsibilities. Storage and data protection includes SAN (VMAX, VNX, Netapp), NAS (NetApp), data protection (Avamar, Data Domain, CommVault) and archival (Data Domain) build and run responsibilities. This role will be responsible to develop, implement and maintain the overall information technology infrastructure that will meet business functionality & service level requirements. The Director is also greatly involved managing the day-to-day IT Infrastructure by providing direction and support to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a large, complex IT environment and uphold best-in-class standards
- Effectively communicate complex IT issues to executive management
-Manages, coordinates, and provides technical leadership to multiple functional domains.
-Develops and maintains IT liaison relationship with functional departments and key customers
- Evaluates new technologies and provides Business Cases where needed. Initiates and directs special projects as required to assess and implement IT innovations
- Develops and maintains relationships with technology vendors to meet business needs
- Negotiate and drive approval process for statements of work and vendor contracts/renewals, including business case ROI determination for all network related activities
- Recruit, select, manage and develop employees. Make decisions regarding hiring, promotions, salary adjustments, discipline, and any other changes of employee status
- Develop, recommend, track, and control the approved infrastructure operations annual operating and capital budgets.
-Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
- Candidates must have 12+ years of experience working in enterprise infrastructure environment
- Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of technical management experience
- Experience in leading cloud technologies
- Specific experience with various cloud orchestration tools and with running a hybrid cloud (public cloud broker)
- Show back / bill back accounting
- Key measures that ensure service delivery excellence
-Candidate must have experience managing a globally dispersed team and globally dispersed infrastructure services components
-Service oriented – experience running IT as a service organization
-Experience managing deeply virtualize environments
-Experience managing Linux and Windows operations
-Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange environments.
-ITIL Foundations desired
-PMP certification or related experience preferred
