Our North American Sales Account Managers proactively focus on prospecting for new business opportunities and up-sell to existing customers on our cutting edge technology solutions. The McAfee Sales Professional is expected to understand the overall business objectives of the McAfee sales organization, and articulate the McAfee value proposition to the customer. The role of the McAfee Partner Sales Rep is to drive product sales by:
- Developing an understanding and capability to position McAfee’s SaaS and On-Premise Solutions in key areas of SMB and SOHO. The PSR, in conjunction with pre-sales resources, will lead the efforts to deliver software and hardware solutions through the client.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Focus on driving and closing software, hardware and services revenue to achieve the overall revenue and gross profit targets.
- Be a primary contact and sales resource for all local Client’s SMB Account Managers, Inside Sales Representatives and customers within your geographic region
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with vendor partners
- Exceed product revenue and profit goal consistently while attaining high customer satisfaction
- Exceed services revenue and gross margin targets consistently while attaining high customer satisfaction
- Increase awareness of McAfee’s value proposition within the client, through regular and consistent strategic account planning.
- Demonstrate good teamwork with coworkers and follow the specific directives of the McAfee/Client management team
- Manage and track sales opportunity pipelines, forecasts and revenue using McAfee's CRM
- Be knowledgeable (industry expert) about products, applications, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical services. Maintain credible knowledge of competing technologies and solutions.
Qualifications
- Understand McAfee solutions.
- Understand client business drivers and needs. Provide input on strategies to drive revenue for solutions and the overall McAfee Security Solutions within the SMB.
- Provide management oral and written reports on the client needs, problems, interests, market situation, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services.
- Conduct presentations online and in-person to existing and prospective clients.
- Help to create client-facing business development activities, perform demand generation and perform all follow-up to business development activities.
- Coordinate prospect meetings, teleconferences, and communications.
- Leverage multiple McAfee and Client partner sales channels
- Participate in client seminars and workshops
- Create and deliver polished sales proposals and RFP responses.
Required Experience/Skills & Education
- Thorough knowledge of McAfee
- Five Years or more of professional sales experience
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills including consulting skills
- Strong Oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
